LITTLE VALLEY – Kevin Donaldson Jr. 28, of Cattaraugus, was sentenced Monday to 20 months to five years in prison after killing Michael and Donna Phillips while allegedly driving drunk Dec. 15.
Town Supervisor Michael Phillips and his wife, newly elected Town Clerk, Donna Phillips were struck and killed by a vehicle while walking from their home to the Town Hall, just across Rt. 353.
Our news partner, WIVB News 4, reports that Donaldson pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
The couple was walking across the road to do payroll work when they were struck and killed. At the time, Donaldson had, according to police, a .08 blood alcohol content, just legally intoxicated.
A DWI charge was dropped as part of a plea deal to land the guilty pleas to vehicular manslaughter.
