Man Wanted For Deserting U.S. Army Charged Following Incident

ELLINGTON – A man wanted for desertion from the U.S. Army was arrested and charged Saturday evening following an incident at a residence on Route 62, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. 

Darrin M. Hill, 31, of Conewango Valley, allegedly damaged another person’s property. A child less than 17-years-old was also reportedly present during the incident.
Hill is charged with third-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child. Hill was arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on $15,000 cash/ $30,000 property bond. Hill is currently being held without bail on the outstanding desertion warrant.
