JAMESTOWN – On Saturday, following a minor traffic accident, New York State Police charged Jason Porter, 48, of Jamestown, with Driving While Intoxicated.
Troopers responded to a report of an accident on Kiantone Road in Jamestown. Investigation revealed that Porter rear-ended a vehicle that was waiting to make a left turn. Porter was placed under arrest after failing several field sobriety tests.
He was taken to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .17, Troopers said. Porter was then processed, issued tickets directing him to appear in the town of Kiantone Court later in the month and released. Neither Porter nor the driver of the other vehicle were injured in the collision.
