Olean Man Pleads Guilty To Drug Trafficking Charges

BUFFALO-An Olean man pleaded guilty Tuesday to federal drug trafficking charges according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Giovanni Salmonson, 26, was previously charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Salmonson faces a maximum sentence of 30 years and a $2,000,000 fine.

Salmonson was reportedly arrested in 2015 during a trespassing incident. He was discovered with a .22-caliber pistol, 14 bags of heroin, six suboxone pills and $851 in cash per the office.
