Pair Charged With Drug Possession In Traffic Stop

CELORON – Two people allegedly possessed an assortment of drugs during a traffic stop early Sunday morning, according to the Ellicott Police Department. 
The driver, Shane Messere, 40, of Jamestown, was allegedly in possession of multiple controlled substances and marijuana. Hydrocodone, morphine, methadone and amphetamine pills were also located in the vehicle.
The passenger, Joseph Notoro, 59, of Mount Jewett, Pa., was allegedly in possession of approximately 10 grams of cocaine.

Messere was arrested and charged with four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
Notoro was charged with second-degree criminal possessin of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Both people were remanded to Chautauqua County Jail, and will appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date. Ellicott Police were assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit.
