SOUTH DAYTON – New York State Police arrested Bret M. Smith, 27, of South Dayton, and Layna R. Jimerson, 28, of South Dayton, charging them with seventh-degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance.
At 10:10 a.m. Sunday, Troopers observed a vehicle parked at the Super Duper on Pine Street, South Dayton. Police said when they approached the vehicle they saw Smith in the driver seat loading a hypodermic needle. Police said they found Soboxone and meth. Both subjects were arrested and transported to State Police barracks in Collins. Both subjects were issued appearance tickets for the village of South Dayton Court.
