Panama Man Faces Multiple Charges After Traffic Stop

KIANTONE – A Panama man faces multiple charges after New York State Police Troopers made a traffic stop Tuesday on Riverside Road.
Casey Clark, 38, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance in a non-original container, unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Troopers said Clark was pulled over on Riverside Road for a traffic violation and while speaking to Clark, the Troopers said they smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Clark and his vehicle revealed a smoking device containing marijuana residue and a container with eight methadone pills and 10 lortabs, both controlled substances for which Clark did not have a prescription. A check of Clark’s driver’s license showed six suspensions, one of which was for an alcohol related offense. Clark was arrested and transported to SP Jamestown where he was processed.
