Police Conclude Investigation Into Suspicious Person Near Ring Elementary

JAMESTOWN-Police have concluded its investigation into an incident that allegedly involved a child being lured into the woods near Ring Elementary School. 

  Jamestown Police Chief Harry Snellings told WNYNewsNow, “Patrol officers have been briefed and are monitoring the area. A general description was given and we are following up on the incident. We have also met with school officials at Ring School.” 

After several hours of investigation and interviewing potential witnesses, police now say that the allegations made by the child were unfounded.

“Our investigators were advised that at no time did a man try to get a child away from the area and into the woods,” said Captain Robert Samuelson.
