Police Seize Drugs, Loaded Shotgun During Well-Being Call

JAMESTOWN-Two people were arrested Sunday evening after police seized drugs and a loaded shotgun during a check for well-being at 248 Forest Ave. according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Todd E. Dalton, 32, and Jacqueline M. Delo, 32, reportedly denied an earlier incident involving a female being threatened with a shotgun. Officers allegedly found a loaded shotgun, later determined to be stolen Saturday during a city burglary, in plain view along with a “small” quantity of methamphetamine, cocaine and plastic baggies known for drug sale usage.

Police also reportedly recovered 43 grams of marijuana, multiple prescription pills and a digital scale with powder residue evident.

Both people were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and eight counts of 5th degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Delo was additionally charged with 5th degree Criminal Possession of Marijuana.

The accused were arraigned and committed to County Jail.
