UPDATE: Police are additionally charging Smouse with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property as a stolen guitar worth $1,500 was allegedly in his possession during the raid. Jamestown Police Captain Robert Samuelson told WNYNewsNow that the guitar was likely taken in for drugs.
JAMESTOWN – More than 19 grams of crystal methamphetamine, suboxone and other drug paraphernalia, including scales used to weigh drugs for sales, were seized by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force during a raid Tuesday at 1107 Prendergast Ave.,according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Police also reportedly located a switchblade and a baton club. James E. Smouse, 28, was arrested and charged with third and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Smouse was taken to the city jail to await arraignment.
