Police Seize More Than a Pound of Meth in Dunkirk

DUNKIRK – On Monday, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET – Western) in a joint investigation with the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force arrested Ryan R. Lopez Jr, 24 of Dunkirk, for felony second-degree criminal possession of a controlled.

In the Dunkirk-based investigation, police seized more than a pound of Methamphetamine, worth an estimated $16,000 dollars. Lopez was arraigned in the City of Dunkirk Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Assisting in the investigation were the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, the City of Dunkirk Police Department and the New York State Police in Fredonia.
