Pounds Of Drugs Seized By New York State Police

WARSAW – A Georgia duo is facing charges after New York State Troopers in Warsaw seized around a pound of meth and over a kilo of heroin during a traffic stop Thursday.
47-year-old Juan Martinez-Vega and 26-year-old Giovanni Ramirez-Soto were stopped for a traffic infraction on Black House Road when troopers allegedly made the discovery with the help of a K9 officer.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately 1200 grams, 1.2 kilos, of suspected heroin and 420 grams, approximately one pound, of suspected crystal methamphetamine.
Both were charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The pair were arraigned in the Village of Warsaw Court and remanded to the Wyoming County Jail pending a bail hearing.
