Resident Known As “Daddy Man” Faces Drug, Obstruction Charges After Traffic Stop

JAMESTOWN-A city man was arrested Saturday evening for the second time in as many months after fleeing police on foot during a traffic stop in the area of 105 E. 5th St. according to Jamestown Police.

Anthony W. Cunningham, Jr., A.K.A. “Daddy Man”, 38, reportedly possessed a quantity of powdered cocaine during the stop. His driving privileges were previously suspended per police.

Cunningham was taken into custody on charges of Penal Law- 7th degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Obstructing Governmental Administration, Resisting Arrest and 3rd degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation.

State Police reportedly assisted JPD as part of a targeted enforcement detail.

Cunningham was arrested in April for obstructing governmental administration during an investigation of a Tower St. burglary. He was not charged with burglary in that accident.
