Salamanca Police Cancel Missing Alert For Two Infant Girls

SALAMANCA, NY — Police have located the two infants who went missing from a residential facility in Salamanca.

Police issued a missing child alert around 6:30 Saturday morning for two infants who were taken by their mothers.

At 12:32 p.m., Salamanca Police said that the infants and their teen mothers were found safe in New York City.

Salamanca Police Officer Tina Owens told WNYNewsNow that the Missing Child Alert went statewide and that State Police were assisting with the investigation.

Owens told WGRZ-TV in Buffalo that law enforcement believed the infants were in danger because the mothers didn’t have supplies needed to care for the children.
