Salamanca Town Supervisor, Clerk-Elect Struck And Killed Friday Night

SALAMANCA – Salamanca Town Supervisor and the Town Clerk-Elect were struck and killed while attempting to cross Route 353 on their way to the Town Hall, according to multiple well-placed law enforcement source.

According to the source, current Town Supervisor Michael Phillips and his wife, newly elected Town Clerk, Donna Phillps were struck and killed by a vehicle while walking from their home to the Town Hall.

A Cattaragus County Corrections Officer told WNYNewsNow that the suspect, Kevin Donaldson of Conewango, was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter and may face other charges related to the incident.

The couple was well respected in the Salamanca community.

Several attempts to contact Cattaragus County political figures for reaction were unsuccessful. We will have more details when they become available.

  1. Good he needs to spend the rest of his life in prison he always been a drunk and should had never got behind the wheel of his car. I feel bad for the family not going to have them here for Christmas my heart goes out to them Prayers.

  2. It is a sad situation for everyone. Unless you know the whole story you should not judge. You might have him confused. Kevin has a family who love him and so do the people who lost their lives. What skeletons do you have in your closet?
