SHERIFFS: Deputy Assaulted During Silver Creek Incident

SILVER CREEK-A deputy was punched in the face as they attempted to break up a disturbance on Central Ave. Saturday evening according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Seth White, 30, Irving, reportedly struck the deputy as they attempted to arrest Veronica Cook, a 26-year-old Irving native. Cook allegedly punched another individual in the face prior to the assault. The Sheriff’s Office said the deputy sustained a facial injury.

White was charged with 2nd degree Assault, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct. Cook, meanwhile, was charged with Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct and Harassment.

Jonathan Seneca, 36, Gowanda, reportedly attempted to prevent deputies from arresting White. He was charged with Resisting Arrest and 2nd degree Harassment.

All three were arraigned and remanded to county jail.
