BROCTON – A Silver Creek man is accused of having an unlawful relationship with an inmate while employed as a correction officer at Lakeview Shock Incarceration Correctional Facility according to the New York State Police.
The Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) arrested James W. Beam Jr., 41, on Wednesday for 3rd degree rape and several counts of Official Misconduct.
Beam was issued an appearance ticket at the direction of the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office and is to appear at the town of Portland court in January 2018.
This case was a joint investigation by the New York State Police and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.
