State Police: Jamestown Woman Tried To Sneak Heroin Into Mohawk Prison

ROME – A city woman is facing multiple felony charges after she reportedly tried to pass heroin to an inmate at Mohawk Correctional Facility Sunday.
Christine M. Robinson, 47, of Jamestown, was taken into custody at the facility after investigators field-tested the gray powdery substance, which was hidden in an unknown item identified only as contraband.
The testing of the actual heroin reportedly made an Investigator lightheaded; he was transported to Rome Memorial Hospital for a medical evaluation and was later released.
Robinson was arrested for third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree promoting prison contraband, and for possessing drugs in a correctional facility.
