State Police: Rochester Men Possessed Almost 3 Pounds Of Cocaine

PLATTEKILL  – A traffic stop at 2:40 a.m. Sunday by New York State Police lead to the felony arrest of three Rochester Men for allegedly possessing 2.8 pounds of cocaine.

Troopers made the stop on I-87 for an alleged equipment violation. Troopers say they had probable cause to search the vehicle.

The driver, Ricardo E. Almenteros, 19, of Rochester, and his two passengers, Ricardo Almenteros, 52, of Rochester, and Edward A. Pearce, 24, of Rochester, were all allegedly in possession of approximately 2.8 pounds of Cocaine. They were taken into custody, transported, and processed and remanded to jail without bail.

The elder Almenteros was also charged with felony violation of probation or parole and the younger Almenteros was charged with a vehicle and traffic violation.
