Stockton Man Charged With Rape

NOTE: Upon further review, Leland’s last name is spelled Bresee, contrary to what was originally published when receiving the Sheriff’s media release. That spelled Bresee as Breese, but we do regret failing to notice the discrepancy.
STOCKTON  –  A Stockton man was charged with first-degree rape Friday afternoon after an investigation by the County Sheriff’s Office at an address on Rt. 380.
The investigation revealed Leland Breese, 34, allegedly had sexual intercourse with a victim without their consent. Deputies were reportedly called, at first, to investigate “suspicious activity.”
Breese was subsequently located and arrested in the City of Jamestown after a warrant was issued. He was committed to county jail in lieu of $75,000 bail, according to the Sheriff’s website.
