Three Area Men Face Drug Charges Following Sheriff’s Department Warrant Check

FREDONIA – Three area men face multiple drug charges following a warrant check and narcotics investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department at about 7:20 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies went to 5315 Rt. 20, where they said they saw three people in a garage allegedly using methamphetamines.  Deputies entered the garage and apprehended all three men.
Larry M. Houser, 33, of 5315 Rt. 20, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, criminally using drug paraphernalia and the outstanding warrants for fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing and reckless endangerment.
Gary A. Warren III, 26, of 108 Greenhurst Village, Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, criminally using drug paraphernalia and criminally possessing a hypodermic needle.
Jacob P. Near, 37, of 37 Pearl St., Westfield, was charged with three counts of seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Further investigation at the scene found that all three men possessed methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Near was additionally found to be in possession cocaine. Warren was additionally found to be in possession of hypodermic needles.
All three defendants were arraigned in the Town of Pomfret Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
