Two Juveniles Charged In Stolen Weapons Cases, Other Thefts

JAMESTOWN – Two juvenile males are facing charges after police said the duo stole an AR-15 rifle and loaded 9mm pistol from a parked car.

Over the past several weeks, Jamestown Police received multiple reports of thefts from motor vehicles on the north side of the city.

Jamestown Police said investigators obtained information on two juveniles who were found to be in possession of stolen credit cards.

Through video surveillance officers identifed the duo.

Police said mutiple other items were also stolen, and Jamestown Police are now working to recover them. Police said the firearms were found late Wednesday afternoon at a home on the north side.

Officers remind everyone to not store firearms in their vehicles and to lock their cars when they’re parked.

Jamestown Police said charges are pending through family court for the two males.

Police Captain Robert Samuelson told WNYNewsNow that members of the staff at Jamestown Public Schools, including a School Resource Officer, assisted in the investigation.
