JAMESTOWN-Two children, ages 4 and 7, witnessed a violent domestic dispute involving two intoxicated people at 406 E. 4th St. Thursday evening according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Responding officers reportedly observed Erik V. Morrison, 29, physically assaulting Theresa M. Marsh, 23, in the residence. Marsh allegedly became combative with the officers and attempted to push them out of the apartment after Morrison was transported to city jail.
Officers discovered a loaded pistol within reach of the children per JPD.
Morrison was charged with Assault, Unlawful Imprisonment, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
Marsh was charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Possession of a Stolen Weapon and Obstructing Governmental Administration.
Both Marsh and Morrison are in city jail.
Child Protective Services is currently investigating the incident. The unharmed children are reportedly staying with relatives.
