Various Sentences Announced By District Attorney Patrick Swanson

MAYVILLE – Several area residents are prison bound after being sentenced for various crimes, according to Chautauqua County District Attorney Patrick Swanson.
Larry Johnson, 41, Jamestown, was sentenced Oct. 19, by Acting Chautauqua County Court Judge Stephen Cass on two counts to two determinate sentences of eight years in state prison plus three years of post-release supervision, after being convicted on one count of third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and one third-degree count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance. The sentences are to run concurrently.
Jonathan Linger, 31, Dunkirk, was sentenced Oct. 15, by County Court Judge David W. Foley on one count to a determinate sentence of one and one-half years in state prison plus two years of post-release supervision, after being convicted of fifth-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
James Caloren, 36, Ellicott, was sentenced Aug. 27, by Foley on one count to an indeterminate sentence of three and one-half years to seven years in state prison plus, after being convicted of third-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
David Brown, 27, no address given, was sentenced Sept. 24, by Foley on one count to a determinate sentence of four years in state prison plus
two years of post-release supervision, after being convicted of third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Ernest Bishop, 32, no address given, was sentenced Sept. 24, by Acting Chautauqua County Court Judge James Bargnesi on one count to a determinate sentence of seven years in state prison plus five years of post-release supervision, after being convicted of second-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
Stephen Easley, was sentenced Aug. 20, by Foley on one count to an indeterminate sentence of two years to four years in state prison, after being convicted of second-degree Attempted Assault.
Gregg Morrison, of Ashville, was sentenced by Foley Aug. 20, on two separate counts to indeterminate sentences of one year to three years in state prison, after being convicted of two separate counts of Felony DWI.
Shawn Paprocki, 31, was sentenced Aug. 13, 2018, by Acting Chautauqua County Court Judge John LaMancuso on four counts to indeterminate sentences of two years to six years, two years to six years, one and one-third years to four years and one and one-third years to four years in state prison, after being convicted of third-degree Burglary, third-degree Grand Larceny, fourth-degree Grand Larceny and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. All sentences are to run concurrently.
