VIDEO: Person Of Interest In Unsolved Jamestown Murder Released From Prison

JAMESTOWN-The man dubbed a person of interest in the unsolved 2014 murder of an 18 month-old toddler was recently released from a Pennsylvania Prison.

The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections told WNYNewsNow that Tyler A. Perez served 25 months in Pine Grove Prison just outside of Pittsburgh.

The alleged Murder Victim, Nayla Hodnett, died as a result of blunt force trauma in April 2014.

After Nayla was pronounced dead at Buffalo’s Women and Children Hospital Jamestown Police named the mother, Angel Hodnett, and her then boyfriend, Tyler Perez, persons of interest in the case.

WNYNewsNow reporter Ryan Hedrick obtained legal paperwork in 2015 that stated Perez and Nayla’s Mother were the last people to care for Nayla in her final hours.

Jamestown Police Chief Harry Snellings said he would reopen the case if new information developed.

  1. I really hope these two monsters (mother and Perez) are brought to justice. God knows that precious baby suffered. It sickens me that these two are running loose.
