LITTLE VALLEY – A Virginia man was sentenced Monday morning to three years in prison on a charge of  2nd degree rape (Class D, statutory rape) in Cattaraugus County Court according to Supreme Court Chief Clerk Verna Dry.
Dry told WNYNewsNow that Benjamin Selden, 19, will also have three years of post-release supervision.
A well-placed source close to the situation told WNYNewsNow Selden and a child had sexual intercourse at least once earlier in 2017.
Selden was originally released into supervised custody, after appearing in court a few months ago, per the source. He was charged last August.
