SINCLAIRVILLE – A man wanted on multiple felony warrants from Chautauqua and Allegany Counties was arrested this week by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Benjamin M. Gray, 27, of Cassadaga, was arrested after deputies received tips from the community that he was staying at a house without permission from the owner.
When deputies arrived, Gray was found hiding in the basement. Furthermore, Gray, along with Stevie Provorse, 25, also of Cassadaga, was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine; which investigators said was in a location directly accessible to a young child inside the house.
Both were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
Gray may face additional drug related charges pending lab results of other materials located at the house, according to police.
The duo was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail and will appear in the Town of Charlotte Court at a later date.
