Wanted Man Flees Police

RIPLEY – A wanted man from Pennsylvania allegedly ran from Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies while they were trying to arrest him Tuesday.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies were tipped off that David P. Muscarella, 32, of North East, P.A. was inside a residence on Rt. 20 in the Town of Ripley.
When deputies arrived Muscarella allegedly left on foot.
Outside Muscarella was cornered by K-9 Drake and surrendered without further incident.
Police said while Muscarella attempted to run he threw a small bag allegedly filled with methamphetamine, hypodermic needles, and other drug paraphernalia.
Muscarella was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
Meranda A. Rater, 33, was also taken into custody on a outstanding warrant for violating a town ordinance.
Rater was arraigned and released.
