Wanted Man In Custody Following Vehicle Pursuit Through Jamestown, Surrounding Area

JAMESTOWN – A 20-year-old man, who was wanted by the Buffalo Police Department on multiple armed robbery charges, allegedly led Jamestown Police and numerous other law enforcement agencies on a pursuit throughout the surrounding area Friday evening.
Captain Robert Samuelson told WNYNewsNow that JPD was conducting a joint investigation with the BPD. Samuelson said officers attempted to pull over the man, who won’t be identified until Saturday morning, at a location in the city when he sped away from officers.
The man was eventually stopped at the corner of Falconer and Stowe Streets.
Samuelson confirmed scanner reports that there was a female passenger. He also said that authorities believed the man may have held the female at gunpoint.
Nobody appeared to sustain injuries in the incident per Samuelson. He also said that multiple charges are expected for the man.
