Wanted Sinclairville Man Ingests Narcotics Before Arrest

STOCTON-A wanted Sinclairville man ingested a quantity of narcotics before his arrest at a James Rd. home Thursday according to the County Sheriff’s Office.

Homeowners reportedly identified the subject who attempted to enter the residence as Steven J. Stablewski, 27, of Sinclairville. Deputies were aware Stablewski had multiple felony warrants for his arrest. Sheriff’s K9 Link was deployed on a human odor track behind the residence.

Link tracked over 1/2 mile through thick brush and swamp before locating Stablewski, hiding in brush along a creek. Stablewski surrendered to K9 Link and was taken into custody.

Stablewski was taken by Alstar EMS to WCA Hospital in stable condition. In addition to the warrants, Stablewski is additionally charged with felony tampering with physical evidence. Upon hospital release, Stablewski will be transferred to the Chautauqua County Jail.
