Woman Allegedly Provides Twin Sister’s Name During Arrest

SHERIDAN – An Irving woman allegedly provided deputies with her identical twin sister’s identity during a traffic stop Sunday morning, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Maranda M. Hayden, 24, was originally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, unlicensed operator and moving from lane unsafely after she allegedly possessed methamphetamine and hypodermic needles during the arrest.
Hayden was charged and released with citations. The Sheriff’s Office discovered the false information Monday, according to the report, and they arrested and charged Hayden with second-degree criminal impersonation.
Hayden was arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
