Woman Charged With Theft Of Electric For Second Time In Two Months

PANAMA – For the second time in about two months, a Panama woman has been charged with theft of services for allegedly stealing a neighbor’s electricity.
On Friday, New York State Police were called to a residence in Panama for a complaint that the victim’s electric supply box was directly wired to the property of Brigit Drake, 38.  Drake was charged with theft of services. She was also charged for the same crime in August.
Troopers said they verified with National Grid that Drake’s residence was not receiving service and she arrested. Drake was processed at SP Jamestown, issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of Harmony Court next month to answer the charge.
