Woman Faces Multiple Felonies After Alleged Assault

JAMESTOWN – A 56-year-old woman is facing burglary and assault charges after police say she punched her neighbor in the face at an East 2nd Street house.
Investigators responded to UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital Saturday to interview the victim who alleged that her neighbor, Cretia A. Goldsmith, entered her apartment and punched her in the face several times causing injuries.
Police located Goldsmith and charged her with second degree burglary and third degree assault.
She is currently in city jail awaiting arraignment.
