LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Sears store will be closing in the wake of Sears Holdings filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to a report from BusinessInsider.com, who cited court documents.
A total of 142 Kmart and Sears locations are closing nationwide. According to the report, liquidation sales at additional stores are expected within the next few months.
Requests for comment from WNYNewsNow haven’t been returned by the local Sears as of publish time.
The local Kmart was not on the list of closures.
There’s no word, thus far, as to when the store will be closing.
