ALBANY – New York State’s Unemployment Rate has reached record low numbers, according to a report published on the State’s Labor Department Website.
Data released Thursday reported the seasonally adjusted jobless rate fell to 3.9% during the month of November, which is the lowest it has been since New York began tracking unemployment figures in 1976.
Additionally, the number of those unemployed fell to 379,400. State Officials said that is its lowest level since August 1988.
The state’s private sector job count also reached a new all-time high of 8,231,100.
