Jamestown Christmas Tree Setup For Holiday Season

JAMESTOWN – The City of Jamestown’s Christmas Tree was harvested and installed Tuesday morning at City Hall on Tracy Plaza.
Workers with the City’s Parks, Recreation, and Conservation Department harvested at 9:00 a.m., after the Colorado Blue Spruce was donated by Sampson Street residents Paul and Jennifer Liuzzo.
The tree will be harvested from the front yard of 200 Sampson St. where it will then be transported for display at City Hall on Tracy Plaza.
Officials said in the coming days, park employees will decorate the tree with over 2,500 energy-saving LED lights. The Blue Spruce will tower approximately 40 feet above the plaza.
Jamestown Board of Public Utilities workers assisted Parks Employees with a crane and manpower.
The tree lighting will take place Friday, November 30, at 6:30 p.m. during the Jamestown Christmas Parade.
