WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump has nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
The Washington D.C. native was put on the federal bench by George W. Bush.
Kavanaugh is a judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals District of Columbia circuit, which has produced a number of justices.
He was a key member of independent counsel Kenneth Starr’s team, which produced the report that served as the basis for President Bill Clinton’s impeachment.
