WASHINGTON – More than 29,000 pounds of frozen Jimmy Dean Sausage Links have been recalled because they may contain bits of metal.
While no injuries have been reported, the U.S. Department of Agriculture received five complaints, which prompted the recall.
The recall is for Heat N’ Serve Original Sausage Links Made With Pork And Turkey. The use by date is Jan. 31, 2019. The packages include the stamp “E-S-T 1-9-0-8-5” on the back of the package.
Health officials warn anyone with the recalled sausage to either return it to the store where it was purchased or throw it away. Jimmy Dean is asking retailers to stop selling the product.
