JAMESTOWN – Narcan administrations rose in March with some people receiving in upwards of four doses before being revived, according ALSTAR EMS.
The emergency response agency said they encountered 16 people that received the opiate-blocking Narcan, six of those patients had to ingest multiple doses.
On March 18th, a citizen reportedly gave four doses to a person who had overdosed.
Two days prior, a relative of a victim administered it directly into the muscle, police followed with two more does through the nose.
Narcan is being used mostly in Jamestown, according to ALSTAR.
During a recent three-day period in the city, first responders and JPD combined to administer the drug on five separate occasions.
