ORCHARD PARK – The Buffalo Bills defense dominated at home, and Stephen Hauschka secured the 13-12 Bills “W” with a game-winning 46-yard field goal as time expired at New Era Field Sunday.
The defense kept a Marcus Mariotta-led Titans offense out of the end zone, and Ryan Succop kicked four field goals for the visitors.
LeSean McCoy had his best game this season for Buffalo, rushing for 85 yards on 24 carries.
Quarterback Josh Allen went 10-19 for only 82 yards and one interception. Allen also ran for the game’s only touchdown.
Bills linebacker Matt Milano led the defense with 10 tackles. Defensive end Jerry Hughes added four tackles and one sack.
Bills cornerback Taron Johnson added an interception.
Mariota had a subpar performance, completing 14-26 passes for a dismal 129 yards and one interception.
The Bills converted three Tennessee turnovers into 10 points.
The Titans offense committed three turnovers, which Buffalo converted into 10 points.
Titans linebacker Jayon Brown led the team with 10 tackles and one sack. Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson intercepted a pass, which led to a Tennessee field goal.
The Buffalo Bills improved to 2-3, while the Tennessee Titans fell to 3-2.
The Bills next game will be on the road against the Houston Texans next Sunday. Kickoff will be at 1:00 on CBS.
