JAMESTOWN-Superintendent Tim Mains’s resignation was unanimously approved by the Jamestown Public School Board of Education Thursday evening.
Sylvia Root was unanimously elected as the interim superintendent.
Mains’s resignation will be effective Feb. 26th when he becomes the Pine Bush Central School (Orange County, NY) superintendent.
Area BOCES leader David O’Rourke was hired to head the search for Mains’s permanent replacement.
