BREAKING: One Dead In Dunkirk Ambulance Rollover

10:30 P.M: The operator, 49-year-old Robin Morey, was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol per Balon. EMT passenger Scott Fischer, 45, reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

UPDATE: State Police identified the deceased as Arthur R. McArthur, 77, of Dunkirk. McArthur was being transported from UPMC Hamot to a nursing home in Chautauqua County. 

DUNKIRK-One person is dead Tuesday evening after an ambulance rollover occurred around 5:30 near 4896 W. Lake Rd. (Rt. 5) according to New York State Police Captain Eric Balon.

Balon told WNYNewsNow’s Ryan Hedrick the ambulance drifted off the roadway. Authorities are currently investigating the reason.

The deceased was reportedly a patient in the ambulance, whose driver was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital. The other crew member was transported to UPMC Hamot in Erie.
