Calves Found Along I-86 Recovering At Local Dairy Farm

CORRY, P.A. – The calves found along I-86 early Tuesday morning after falling out of a truck hauling them are recovering at a local dairy farm near Corry, Pennsylvania.

According to a post on The Anna Shelter’s Facebook Page, the calves were headed to a packing plant in Ohio when they began falling out of the truck.
Amazingly only one of the animals suffered serious injuries. Many only had road rash, cuts and bruises.
According to shelter officials the calf with serious injuries beyond repair and humanely euthanized.
ANNA Humane Police Officer Eric Duckett assisted police with transporting the calves to the ANNA Wellness Center in Corry.

Shelter Dr. Windell Lyom then provided emergency medical care.
Shelter officials posted that the calves are now being introduced to new mother cows in the area.
