Cattaraugus County Man Charged With Forcibly Touching Disabled Person

MACHIAS – A Machias man allegedly touched a family member confined to a wheelchair forcibly during a domestic dispute Friday at a location on State Route 16, according to the New York State Police. 
Miguel A. De Jesus, 70, was charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a physically disabled person (E Felony), Forcible Touching (A Misdemeanor) and Aggravated Family Offense Forcible Touching (E Felony).
The aggravated family offense forcible touching charge was placed because De Jesus allegedly committed a misdemeanor specified offense (Forcible Touching) against a defined family member and was previously convicted of a specified offence within the past five years (Forcible Touching conviction on June 5, 2015 in the town of Pavilion.)
De Jesus was arraigned at the town of Yorkshire Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond bail. An order of Protection was issued for the victim.
