Charges Still Pending In Sherman Hunting Accident

SHERMAN – Sheriff Joe Gerace told WNYNewsNow charges are pending against 34-year-old Thomas Jadlowski, who allegedly shot and killed a village woman in a hunting accident last Wednesday.

Gerace’s statement comes despite a Buffalo TV station reporting that District Attorney Patrick Swanson said charges wouldn’t be filed.

The Sheriff’s Office said 43-year-old Rosemary Billquist took a single bullet while walking her dogs in a field behind her Armenian Rd. home. Billquist reportedly died later that evening at Hamot Hospital in Erie.

Jadlowski reportedly told authorities Billquist was about 200 yards, or two football fields, away when she was shot. A second hunting-related accident involved a Ohio man allegedly shooting a pickup truck mistaken for a deer.

We will continue to follow the story.
