JAMESTOWN – City Police Chief Harry Snellings confirmed to WNYNewsNow Friday morning that the helicopter search throughout the city was for missing 35-year-old Sean Carpenter.
Carpenter was reportedly walking home to his house on Superior Street last Wednesday morning, but police say he never made it home. Carpenter is described as a white man with a short beard, brown hair and blue eyes. He was listed as 6-feet-2 inches tall and weighing around 180 lbs.
Police said the man was last seen walking from E. 2nd Street towards E. 1st street at 1:45 a.m. Carpenter was wearing a brown baseball hat, green long sleeve jacket with grey and red sneakers
A law enforcement source originally told WNYNewsNow Friday morning that the Jamestown Police Department requested assistance in a missing persons case. Our crews observed a State Police helicopter hovering over the Jamestown area for over a half-hour.
