Cobras Captured In Allegany

ALLEGANY – Three cobras were recovered from a Union Street house in the of village of Allegany Thursday after social media reports indicated they may have been slithering loose.
The village of Allegany used social media to dispel rumors the reptiles were loose.
Officials report all snakes have been secured by the DEC and taken to the Buffalo Zoo.
Mercy Flight and ambulances were on scene earlier in the day.
Police said charges are pending in this case.
Environmental Conservation Police Officers said they executed a search warrant earlier in the day at the house.
They report the matter remains under investigation and details will be made available in the coming days.
