County Man Faces Several Charges After Allegedly Assaulting Boy

ELLINGTON-An Ellington man is facing a multitude of charges including assault on a “juvenile male child” according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. 

An arrest report obtained by WNY News Now says James R. Haley, 38,  was charged with  “Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation” after allegedly assaulting a “juvenile male child” recently.

Investigators were tipped off to an alleged assault that occurred between Saturday, January 14 and Tuesday, January 17. After what officials call a “brief investigation” Haley was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, Third Degree Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Haley was arrested at his Ellington home and committed to the county jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 property bond.
