County Mental Health Worker Dies After Injuries Sustained During Crash

UPDATE: County Executive George Borrello sends his condolences to the family, stating that Bova performed great work with Chautauqua County’s Department of Health & Mental Hygiene. Borrello said Patricia Bova will be missed by her friends, family, co-workers and the county, as a whole.
JAMESTOWN – A Chautauqua County Health worker, whose car struck a tree this week off of Route 5 and Herrington Road in the Town of Sheridan, has died from her injuries, according to local lawyer and US-NY 23rd District Congressional candidate Eddie Sundquist, who is her nephew.

Patricia A. Bova, 49, reportedly drifted across the westbound lane into a yard before striking the tree on Wednesday.
“She was doing incredible work with Chautauqua County Mental Health right before she passed away,” said Sundquist when reached by phone Friday. “Obviously, the entire family is grieving right now.”
Reaction is filtering in on Facebook as friends are sending well wishes by the dozens.
“So very sorry to hear this. Patricia was my co-worker for many years,” posted Meg Bernhard. “Patricia, you will be missed. I know heaven has received a true angel. My heart is heavy with sorrow. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers.”
“We will have more details on the services in the coming days,” Sundquist said. “For right now, we really don’t have any comment as we are grieving.
