Dog Found Hanging From Tree; JPD Seeking Owner

UPDATE: The dog was a brown and white pitbull that was hung on a red leash and blue nylong rope. Samuelson said that this appears to be an intentional act at this time, and that the dog appeared to had been hanging there for some time. This was in a wooded area on Hallock Street near Palmer Street.
The sex of the dog could not be determined due to decomposition.

JAMESTOWN – Police discovered a deceased dog hanging from a tree near the intersection of Hallock and Palmer Streets Monday evening at around 7:45 PM.
Police Captain Robert Samuelson confirmed the event to WNYNewsNow. Samuelson added that he’ll be putting out a “brief” informational release soon in hopes of finding an owner.
